 Prompt: While writing similies and metaphors, I felt like I learned a couple of things of myself. I delved deep into a couple personal and also small memories. I started off small with the tiny memories that didnt mean much but after a while I delved deeper into personal memories. It made me reflect on how much Ive grown. It also made me reflect on how things have changed in my life.  Today we wrote similes and metaphors  Today I learned more about myself and how my mind has changed. I also learned that things change and it can be for the better 

 Prompt: My break went well, I went out with friends and went to a couple places that I have been wanting to go to. During the break I went to go play pool, something new and fun that I have always wanted to play. The break also helped me reset by giving me time to fully focus on my plans after high school and the things I need to do in order to graduate. I also got to redecorating my room, clearing old things out and making it look the way I always wanted it to look, making it more comfortable as well. The break was really fun and Im glad I got to go out with friends as the school year is ending.  Today in class we read a poem and a worksheet I learned that people come and go but that can be a good thing. Its okay to let people go for personal growth and lets some stress go as well. 

 Prompt: My group presented first, however I did try to prepare for the discussion the weekend before. What I did to prepare for this was to figure out which part I was reading and how my team was going to split up so that we can all talk enough. This helped so that I could organize it and highlight the words, making it easier to read. Also so that I could focus more on my part.  Today In class, a group did their oral presentation  I learned that people can learn many things without forgetting about their other hobbies/skills. I will use this presentation to help me in the future, instead of giving up on the skill thinking I have no room. I will keep trying to learn that skill 

 Prompt: When I think of a perfect day spent with someone I care about, I imagine us going out and doing things together. Like eating breakfast together in the morning, either out or making it at home. Afterwards, going to go see something, like a nice museum or a nice garden. Afterwards, going to go out to eat by dinner at someplace nice. After that, ending the day watching a movie with popcorn or going out to an arcade. Doing something fun like that would be a perfect day.  Today in class my group presented our oral discussion  I learned how important connection is especially to people, with how it makes us feel and also keep us sane. It reminds me how Cheryl seemed happier every time she encountered another hiker on the trail. Without meeting the other hikers, she would have felt even more isolated and ruined her mental health more. 

 Prompt: The best piece of advice given to me by my parents was to keep going and pushing no matter what. I dont remember what I asked them or when, its just something they have always said to me and my siblings. It always motivated me to literally keep going, to chase after what I wanted in order to gain it and work hard. Its the first piece of advice I think of when asked about advise, I like telling others the same thing as well. To maybe motivate them the same way it motivated me to keep going.  Today in class we continued on our oral discussion  Today I learned what selective hearing was. When you chose to hear something and not the other things. I find this bad, since it can be something serious or bad, but people just choose to ignore it instead. 

 Prompt: There are many challenges of working in a group, one big problem would be communication. Despite how important communication is, many groups don´t do it which can cause many problems in the work. The time a group assignment did not go well was because all of us failed to communicate and instead did everything by ourselves, only coming together to turn it in. From this experience, I learned that no matter what communication is very needed in order to not mess up and know what everyone else is doing in order to get the best grade. In the future I will talk with my group and outline our project for us to ensure we understand everything  Today in class we went over our oral discussion  I learned that it is good to speak in front of an audience and how helpful it can be towards you. In the future, I will communicate well and learn the benefits of learning to speak well. 

Prompt: The most challenging part of writing an essay for me would be writing a strong thesis. I know the topic I want to write about, but making it seem like a strong, real thesis is hard for me. I plan to overcome this challenge by figuring out the main root of the problem I chose and seeing how I can turn that into at least a thesis. I will also ask teachers for help and see their opinions on what I can do. Having a strong thesis is very important when writing an essay and I plan to overcome the difficulty I find with it  Today in class we completed a worksheet and read a poem  I learned to cherish those people I have around me and are close to. Especially these few months since it is the last year of high school, where many may not see each other after. 

 Prompt: A real moment of my life that felt like the beginning of a powerful story was the moment i started learning more about myself and who I wanted to become. This was around entering high school when I really looked into this and found out my fashion, morals, values and more. This all felt like a powerful moment because I was becoming the person who I wanted to be. I was getting a new identity, one I would really love and feel like me.  Today in class we read a poem and answered questions I learned that its important to surround yourself with good people or else youll be going down a very bad path. I will use this in the future so that I can make sure I hangout with good people to make good decisions
