May 1, ending the course

Prompt: There have been many topics discussed in the class like racisms, stereotypes, social justice, and identity . Throughout the whole course the main one that stood out to me was our most recent topic, stereotypes. This lesson is meaningful to me because it made me realize I dont know much about stereotypes and how Ive never really realized how its in so many films. It can also effect many peoples lives and I noticed a little bit with mine as well. Its a very serious topic and I like that I got to understand and learn more about it  Today in class we watched a documentary  I learned that education is super important to many people and how people get to school just for the education. It made me value school even more and to be grateful

April 30, importance of education

Prompt: In my life, education is one of the most important thing there is. From soon after graduating, I will still be continuing my education and learning even more. I dont think some students value education the same as I do. I see many still failing and not caring about their grades. Even if they get told they might not graduate, they dont care and continue to ignore their work. Although I think some students around the world value education even more than I do, some travel hours and through rough conditions to get to school everyday, pushing through it all.

April 29, most interesting cultural presentation

Prompt: The cultural groups presentation that I found most interesting was the eastern white people. I found this group the most interesting because I never knew about a couple of things. The examples and films they used were interesting and I thought they were shown well. This presentation deepened my understanding of them by knowing how they get their stereotypes. I learned a lot more through the presentation and their movie film examples.  Today in class we presented our projects to the class  I learned more stereotypes and the danger of them as well.
