Sep.23, a truth you were afraid to accept

A truth I was afraid to accept was the fact that a 10 year friendship of mine was ending. I had been close friends with a girl since the first grade and all through elementary we always stuck by each other's side, following each other everywhere. However, near the end of fifth grade I had moved schools and slowly like that we started to drift apart. As we grew older and with different surroundings, we became different people. Whenever we try to hang out now, it's all very awkward and we find things hard to bond over other than old memories. I've figured that the friendship was ending after that and how we only ever talk to each other a few times a year.
