Question 1- Her role as mother and wife reflects the expectations since back then the expectations for women were to clean and stay at home. Her sense of duty impacts Troy since she has an expectation of having a stable home life. While Troy doesn't seem like that at all
Question 2- Troys interactions with Corey reveal different views and old generational trauma. Troy has been through harsh racism and overall difficulty in his life that has made him so tough. While Corey is seen as more hopeful with football and his life. His past shaped his expectations of manhood to be only to provide for the family and nothing else.
