Describing birth experience

When my parents were describing my birth experience they never mentioned how long my mom was in there for or if my dad was there as well. Only thing I remember them mentioning was that I was born early in the morning, around 10 am, and that the doctors knew that I had a problem with my intestine. I'm not sure if it was immediately after the womb or a day later, but surgery was performed on me and I had to stay at the hospital for a few months. My parents would both take turns sleeping at the hospital with me for a few days every week to make sure I was doing well. A joke my mom made was that the doctors had fattened me up since the IV hook on my arm was never off, constantly feeding me.

Today in class we read another William Blake poem

I learned that poems can truly show a good story in just a few words. Also it made me think about my birth experience and what my parents, especially my mom went through. I will use this knowledge to remember that everyones birth experience is different and a unique story.
